It's a numbers game: What your birthdate says about you

We humans have always wanted to find out how the universe sees us. And whether it's through the use of the moon, the stars, or any other celestial body, we want to know how we can sum up our entire being in one statement.
One of the ancient methods is the study of the symbolism of numbers called Numerology. This study says that each person's personality, dreams and ambitions, struggles and obstacles could be known through different numbers, how they represent our lives, and the positive and negative aspects of our personalities.
How it works
Numerology states that each object vibrates in its own frequency. Such frequency dictates the qualities and energies associated with it. Using the birthdate and name of an individual as the basic source of data, we can find out the major frequencies of a certain person, and ultimately, his personality and qualities.
In numerology, numbers are single digits (1 to 9) except for numbers 11 and 22 (called master numbers). These numbers represent the major vibration rates linked to people's personalities:
Number 1 means independence, individuality, and attainment. These people make great leaders.
Number 2 is about cooperation, closeness, sensitivity, balance and harmony, and is sometimes too supportive to a fault.
Number 3 is a person who is enthusiastic, optimistic, sociable, and creative. He loves being with other people.
Number 4 means having a sense of limitation, practicality, being down-to-earth, and hardworking. Having a routine is what makes this person function well.
Number 5 is a person who is into variety, excitement, progressiveness, and creativity, giving them the freedom to dabble in different pursuits.
Number 6 is nurturing, comforting, and loving to the less fortunate ones. This person has the tendency to take too much responsibility upon himself.
Number 7 has an analytical mind. They are understanding and introspective.
Number 8 is into material satisfaction and would not stop until he reaches the pinnacle of material success. Understanding that life is not only about the money is a hurdle that he should overcome.
Number 9 has a philanthropic soul. They are usually involved in too many to count humanitarian activities. Though having a basically selfless soul, this person also sometimes looks for recognition from the work that he does.
Number 11 is someone who can serve as a spiritual channel for others, with his illuminative mind.
Number 22 individuals, through the use of their spiritual awareness, have the ability to develop and manage business ventures, especially those with humanitarian goals.
So how do we know what number represents us? First, through our birthdate. For example, if your birthday is July 18, 1983, we convert it to its numerical form of 07/18/1983. We then add these numbers until we get a single digit:
7 + 1 + 8 + 1 + 9 + 8 + 3 = 37;
3 + 7 = 10;
and finally, 1 + 0 = 1.
Other than one's birthday, we can also use our names. Numbers 1 to 9 also represent letters found in the English alphabet. Use the table below to find the number equivalent of the letter:

Let's use the name Juan Lopez Santos:
1 + 3 + 1 + 5 + 3 + 6 + 7 + 5 + 8 + 1 + 1 + 5 + 2 + 6 + 1 = 54;
5 + 4 = 9
These numbers derived from our birthdays and names would create one full numerology report, and a part of this report is called The Core. The Core is in turn made up of four elements which will fully reveal a person's personality and obstacles in life:
The Life Path
This is the most important number in the Core. This one number fully describes a person's personality and qualities. It describes the major lessons that the person would learn in his lifetime, and what his central focus would be in life. The Life Path is from the sum of the month, day, and year of one's birth. So in our example (July 18, 1983) the Life Path is 1.
The Expression
This is the second most important number. It describes person's talents and natural abilities. These abilities mean a great deal to one's work and career. The Expression could be derived from adding the number values of all the letters in the name (as shown in the birth certificate). For Juan Lopez Santos, it's 9.
The Soul Urge
This element describes what motivates a person from within—what drives him to reach for his goals and aspirations. Just add the values of all the vowels in one's name and you will get your Soul Urge number. For Juan Lopez Santos, the calculation would be like this:
3 + 1 + 6 + 5 + 1 + 6 = 22;
2 + 2 = 4
The Birthday
The birthdate represents the individual's inborn characteristics, which will most likely stay with him as long as he lives.
In order to find out your innate personality through your birthdate, you just get the sum of the day you were born. For Juan Lopez Santos, The Birthday is 1+8=9, which means that Juan Lopez Santos' philanthropic nature would stay with him no matter how many changes he goes through in life.
Putting it all together, Juan Lopez Santos' Core is 1-9-4-9. He is independent, practical, and a philanthropist. Repetition of numbers could mean that a certain trait is overemphasized or virtually ignored. In Juan Lopez Santos' result, his double digit is the number 9. This could either mean that he is too philanthropic for his own good, or that he is ignoring his want to help other people.
Though all of this is very interesting, and a lot of people would see themselves in the descriptions given, let us just use numerology as a guide, not as something that would decide our lives.
A person is ultimately defined by his actions and choices. Because in the end, a bunch of numbers cannot tell you who you really are—only you can do that.
