If someone you love is celebrating a birthday on a Valentine’s Day, why not hit two birds with one stone and call for a double celebration? Not only will it save time, money and effort but it will also make both occasions more special. Here are some cost-effective ways of throwing a Birthday Party/Valentine’s Day celebration:
Set a dinner with your other half’s friends and loved ones in attendance. You may ask your other half’s family to help out with the preparation, making sure that they include foods that your other half has favored since he/she was young. This birthday/Valentine’s Day celebration makes a great venue for bonding not only with your other half but—who knows—your future in-laws as well!
Presents for Valentine’s Day also make great birthday presents. It won’t be considered impolite if you decide to give a Valentine’s Day present which is also birthday present if the gift in question is expensive and good enough. Why not treat your other half to a fine dining restaurant for a change or a day on a remote beach resort? The possibilities are endless.
Because Valentine’s Day is for anyone you love…
Who says Valentine’s day is for couples only? If a family member or a friend is celebrating his or her birthday on Valentine’s Day, plan a Birthday Party/Valentine’s Day celebration. To tone down the romantic side of Valentine’s Day, retain the customary red theme and cut-out hearts and instead, post valentine hearts with messages written on them, or better yet, things that make that person the best mother, the best sister or a great friend.
…and also for people who needs love
Plan an outreach mission to your organization of choice. Ask friends and loved ones to volunteer in terms of donating presents, cooking food for the party or ask them to simply be at the event and help out in terms of making the less fortunate feel loved and important.
Pack a picnic
Go to a scenic mountainside with your special someone and a little picnic on tow. To make the picnic convenient and mess-free, pack your sandwiches and other food items in individual size containers. Of course, don’t forget the perfect compliment to a night of star gazing by the mountainside with your loved one: a bottle of your favorite wine.
Remember that, at the end of the day, no amount of presents or an expensive dinner can surpass the love, time and effort that you can give a loved one. As long as you plan a celebration coupled with unwavering love, it is all worth it.
